CharFIT
OUR Story
"I have ALWAYS had this strong connection with health, wellness and fitness since I was a child. One of my fondest childhood memories was wanting an exercise tool, "Get In Shape Girl". The tool was a 1980s product that was designed to empower young women to exercise and get in shape. When I ask my friends if they had remembered this specific exercise tool, most of them said no. I laughed to myself and realized that the reason why I had remember that specific product was because I was destined for this path. However, I did not know this at first.
I was temporarily sidetracked and became an Army solider, mother and wife (yes, in that order).
I also pursued careers in IT and didn't jumpstart my journey until I was laid off and decided to go to college for nutrition. I was enrolled into Camden County College, fell in LOVE with the nutrition program and obtained my associates degree in dietetics. Once I'd received my degree, I began working in the community as a nutrition health educator. Soon after, I'd transitioned into a dietetic technician registered at a long-term rehab facility in Philadelphia, PA.
As I dove into the field of nutrition, I began to yearn to educate and teach women about health and wellness from the inside out. It wasn't until 2019 when I decided to pursue that dream. I became a certified personal trainer in March and launched my business, Char Fit LLC, two months later. In June, I received my license to teach Strong by Zumba and began to intern as a personal trainer and wellness coach at West Philadelphia YMCA.
My goal for CharFIT LLC is to motivate and empower women to take the time out for themselves to feel and look good on the inside out. Our mission is to help women LOVE the skin that they're in and to take care of your mind, body and spirit. It's important for my clients to understand that they must love themselves and their personalized journey in order to maximize their results."
